Grantmakers Without Borders' members—some 160 in total—are a diverse group of organizations and individuals passionately engaged in global grantmaking. Our largest constituencies include private foundations (including many family foundations) and grantmaking public charities (including many women's funds as well as international intermediaries). A number of individual donors, many of whom have donor-advised funds, are also active in the network. Philanthropic support organizations also participate in Gw/oB, as do academics working in the field of philanthropy. Geographically, our members are working throughout the global South. The issues our members fund are wide-ranging, from the environment, to health, to women's rights, to economic empowerment. Some of our members are quite new to global giving, while others are among the most respected and experienced grantmakers working in the field today. The incredible diversity of Gw/oB's membership, their passionate commitment to social change and their willingness to share their knowledge and expertise are among Gw/oB's greatest strengths and make Gw/oB the go-to network for global social change grantmakers.
